Welcome to Southampton
The famed seaside getaway
The Town of Southampton was New York’s first colony settled by the English in the 1600s, and it is steeped in rich history. Nowadays, “Southampton” and “luxurious beach escape” go hand-in-hand, and real estate opportunities here are prime for the savvy investor.
Located roughly 80 miles from New York City and considered the “gateway” to the Hamptons, the Town of Southampton contains seven incorporated villages, stretching from roughly Remsenburg to Sag Harbor. The South Fork town is surrounded by water, with the Great Peconic Bay to the north and Shinnecock Bay and the Atlantic Ocean to the south.
While Southampton is well-known as a summer destination for New York’s elite, it’s also home to many year-round residents and offers a range of activities and amenities for all seasons.
Coopers Beach is a nationally-ranked, local beach, and Southampton Village is a historic gem that boasts modern boutiques alongside quaint specialty shops. It’s easy to see why so many fall in love with this famed town.
