Centrally located in The Hamptons, Bridgehampton is a bridge to the surrounding communities of East Hampton, Southampton, and Sag Harbor. Its horse farms, wineries, polo fields, and golf courses give residents open, panoramic properties that appeal to those who want a more tranquil lifestyle.
 
The three towns are in close proximity to the world-class restaurant options in East Hampton and Sag Harbor and are also home to their own fine dining and casual restaurants along with galleries, clothing boutiques, and shops. Popular beaches in Bridgehampton include the famous Ocean Road Beach with its broad expanse of white sand and W. Scott Cameron Beach where the ocean meets Mecox Bay, which is the go-to spot for families.

For an old-school steakhouse, Bobby Van’s is an institution and beloved by locals. Bistro Ete is the Water Mill local favorite for authentic French baked goods and sandwiches. 
 
Sagaponack’s Pike Farm Stands is the epitome of country living at its finest. This quaint but bustling farmers’ market is the place to be on weekend mornings. Loaves and Fishes is another popular, gourmet market in Sagaponack for those looking for fresh fish and bread. 

For shopping, many residents take advantage of Southampton or Sag Harbor’s bustling boutique scene, but Bridgehampton also has some wonderful shops in the Bridgehampton Commons.

Things To Do:

Wineries and golf courses top the list of things to do in the area. There are three private golf clubs in Bridgehampton - The Bridge Golf Club (with a course designed by Rees Jones), The Atlantic Golf Club (also with a Rees Jones course), and The Bridgehampton Club on Ocean Road.
 
The 55-acre Wölffer Estate Vineyard is a popular weekend winery for young people and those interested in viticulture, and the location hosts multiple events with live music every year. Channing Daughters is another winery in the area and is equally lovely. Duck Walk Vineyards in Water Mill is one of Long Island’s most well-known vineyards and sits on more than 100 acres. 

A world-famous equestrian event, The Hampton Classic, is one of many highlights of the area and draws a great crowd every year. For arts and culture, the renowned Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival brings top classical musicians to perform in summer concerts. The Bridgehampton Museum serves as the headquarters of the Bridgehampton Historical Society, presenting exhibits, cultural programs, and special events. The Parrish Art Center and Children’s Museum of the East End are two other beloved spots in town.

The area runs on the Bridgehampton Union Free School District and has a great public elementary, middle, and high school with small class sizes and a close-knit group of parents.
